Some of you have been asking for slightly longer-form stand-alone stories. This is a 9,000-word short story (about 35 standard book pages).
Laura has a beautiful house, a handsome husband, and a marriage that has quietly gone cold. Andrew is a good man and a capable police officer, but between the sheets the spark has all but disappeared. For years she has told herself this is simply what happens. Then one morning an internet technician arrives, and everything changes.
When Andrew walks in on them, Laura expects anger, betrayal, the end of everything. Instead he watches. And something long dormant in both of them wakes up.
What begins as a single reckless afternoon becomes an arrangement neither of them saw coming. Hidden cameras. Strangers in their bed. Laura performing while her husband watches from another room. Each new encounter pushes them further, drawing them closer even as the risks grow sharper.
She wanted to feel desired. He needed to watch. Neither of them is prepared for how quickly the line between fantasy and reality begins to blur—or for what happens when the watching stops being enough.
A slow-burn erotic thriller about marriage, voyeurism, and the dangerous thrill of being seen.
